NordicTrack has launched its Ultra Reformer Series in the UK, marking the brand’s entry into the growing connected Pilates market with two reformers designed for home and commercial fitness environments.
The new range comprises the Ultra 1 Reform RX-S and Ultra 1 Reformer, combining integrated technology with the design and engineering associated with NordicTrack’s Ultra product line.
Both machines feature an integrated HD touchscreen and connect to the iFIT platform, giving users access to a growing library of instructor-led Pilates sessions. The platform currently includes more than 75 reformer-specific programmes and over 200 mat Pilates workouts, alongside content from Pilates instructors including Yvette McGaffin, Director of Pilates at iFIT.
A key feature across the range is the Smart Spine™ System, which encloses the reformer’s springs rather than leaving them exposed. The design is intended to reduce the risk of pinching and recoil, while protecting the mechanism from sweat and dust.
The reformers also introduce a patented Push-Button Resistance Adjustment, allowing users to change spring tension by pressing or lifting a button rather than manually repositioning springs. Resistance can only be adjusted when the carriage is fully docked, providing a fixed position for changes between exercises.
Both models have been designed with a focus on quiet operation, using a studio-style rail system to provide a smooth carriage glide while keeping noise to a minimum.
The connected element extends beyond access to classes. During workouts, the equipment provides on-screen information including current and recommended resistance, while calculating total power output using resistance and carriage velocity.
“The launch of the NordicTrack Ultra Reformer Series is more than just introducing new equipment, it's about unlocking a new way to move,” said Kevin Duffy, CEO of iFIT. “We are bringing the Pilates studio experience home and expanding what’s possible for our members through expert instruction and workout personalization on our reformers. Every workout is a private session. Pilates brings strength, control, and mindfulness to every fitness journey, and this launch makes that experience more accessible and intelligent than ever before.”
The two models have distinct finishes and form factors. The Ultra 1 Reform RX-S has a silver-and-black finish inspired by luxury performance cars and is built to commercial-grade standards, making it suited to fitness centres, boutique Pilates studios and athletic training facilities.
The Ultra 1 Reformer has a Maple finish and a more compact design aimed at residential and wellness environments. It is also positioned for settings including luxury hotels and is expected to become available for home use in mid-2026.
The launch has been developed by Yvette McGaffin, whose Reform method forms part of iFIT’s Pilates offering, bringing together equipment, instructor-led content and connected workout technology in a single platform.
For users who want the full connected experience, an active iFIT membership provides access to the complete class library, community features and post-workout insights. Without a membership, both reformers can also be used as studio-quality Pilates equipment without the connected content and performance tracking.
The Ultra 1 Reform RX-S is currently available for home use in the UK, while commercial customers can enquire through iFIT’s Freemotion Fitness division. The Ultra 1 Reformer is expected to be available for home use from mid-2026.
NordicTrack’s move into reformer Pilates comes as the discipline continues to expand beyond specialist studios, with connected equipment offering hotels, wellness spaces and fitness operators another way to incorporate instructor-led Pilates into their offering.
