India’s spa and wellness industry in India is booming, growing twice as fast as markets in the United States and Europe, with huge potential for growth in 2018, according to a KPMG report.
Part of the second largest consumer market in the world, India’s beauty business is predicted to triple in the next five years. The Spa Association of India predicts the spa and salon business together account for 31 per cent of the total size of the beauty and wellness market.
KPMG’s report states that India's beauty and wellness market is expected to grow at a rate of around 18 per cent with awareness of products and treatments at an all-time high, disposable incomes rising and increasing numbers of women entering the workforce for the first time.
