Wildhive Callow Hall unveils Peak District wellbeing retreat

Wildhive Callow Hall is set to launch a new nature-led wellbeing concept this May, introducing a dedicated Coach House wellness space designed to blend thermal therapies, movement practices and creative workshops in the heart of the Peak District.

Located on the edge of the Peak District, the boutique hotel’s new offering marks the first phase of a broader wellbeing expansion, reflecting the growing demand for immersive, nature-based wellness experiences that prioritise restoration, simplicity and connection to the outdoors.

Set apart from the main house, the Coach House has been designed as a calming space where guests can move between Finnish and herbal saunas, cold plunge immersions, halotherapy, red light therapy, yoga and breathwork, with the surrounding landscape central to the guest experience.

According to Charles Randall, the concept builds on the hotel’s “Wellbeing in Nature” philosophy, bringing together evidence-informed wellness practices with restorative outdoor experiences.

“Wildhive Wellbeing is about bringing people back — to nature, to balance, and to a more instinctive way of feeling well. It’s not just rest, but true restoration, where energy is rebuilt through movement, stillness and connection to the land.”

The thermal journey includes sauna experiences, cold water immersion and halotherapy, alongside a Vitality Cabin offering low-level UV light, infrared warmth and red light therapy to support recovery and energy balance. Guests can also access Gharieni wellness loungers, which combine vibration and sound frequencies to encourage deep relaxation and nervous system regulation.

To create a more flexible wellness experience, the hotel will introduce self-guided wellbeing circuits, allowing guests to tailor their visit around themes such as heat therapy, recovery and relaxation.

The new Coach House will also feature a Technogym studio space for yoga, breathwork and sound therapy, alongside a programme of seasonal workshops including journaling, botanical drawing and claymaking — broadening the experience beyond traditional spa treatments.

The launch reflects a wider trend within the wellness hospitality sector, where hotels are moving towards multi-dimensional wellbeing concepts that integrate movement, mindfulness, nature and social connection.

For Wildhive Callow Hall, the development signals the start of a wider rollout, with further wellness features planned on-site and future expansion into other Wildhive properties, including Wildhive Eshott Hall, due to open later this year.

Set within 35 acres of woodland, Wildhive Callow Hall’s new wellbeing offering will be available to both overnight guests and non-residents, with bookable half-day wellness experiences launching from May.
