Luxury seaweed skincare brand VOYA is celebrating 20 years in business, marking two decades of growth from its origins on Ireland's west coast to becoming an internationally recognised spa and wellness brand.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Mark Walton and Kira Guckian Walton in County Sligo, VOYA has built an international presence in more than 50 countries, supplying professional spa treatments and retail products to luxury hotels, resorts and wellness destinations worldwide.
Today, VOYA treatments can be found in leading spa destinations including The Peninsula Hong Kong, The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Four Seasons Hotel London, Waldorf Astoria Seychelles and Ashford Castle, while the brand also supplies wellness amenities for Emirates' First and Business Class cabins and airport lounges.
The company attributes its growth to its continued focus on Irish seaweed, sustainably hand-harvested from the Atlantic coastline and used throughout its professional and retail collections.
Alongside international expansion, VOYA has continued to invest in scientific research into the skincare benefits of seaweed through collaborations with Irish research and biotechnology partners. Studies have explored its potential to support antioxidant protection, collagen production, hydration and skin barrier function, helping further understanding of seaweed's role within professional skincare.
Reflecting on the milestone, Co-Founder and Managing Director Mark Walton said: "Reaching twenty years is a significant milestone for everyone at VOYA. We've grown from a small family business in the west of Ireland into a global spa brand, and we're incredibly grateful to the customers, spa partners and team members who have supported that journey.
"While we're proud of what we've achieved over the past two decades, we're equally excited about what comes next as we continue to invest in innovation, research and international growth."
Co-Founder and Creative Director Kira Guckian Walton added: "Seaweed has always been at the heart of VOYA and we're continuing to deepen our understanding of its potential through ongoing research. Every new discovery helps shape the future of our products and treatments, while staying true to the natural heritage that inspired the brand."
The anniversary follows the recent launch of VOYA's Resurge Hair & Scalp Elixir, reflecting the company's continued investment in product development alongside its professional spa offering.
Looking ahead, VOYA says it will continue to focus on international expansion, sustainability and scientific research as it enters its third decade, with further global developments expected to be announced in the coming months.
