The UK Spa Association (UKSA) has entered 2026 with renewed momentum, unveiling a refreshed Mission Statement, confirmed workstreams for the year ahead, and the launch of a dedicated Industry Jobs Board designed to further support the UK spa and wellness community.
The announcement follows the successful December launch of the organisation’s new Online Suppliers Directory, which has already strengthened industry connectivity and supplier visibility across the sector.
A Unified Vision for the UK Spa Industry.
The UKSA’s updated Mission Statement sets a clear tone for the association’s role in 2026:
“Uniting and empowering the UK spa industry through support, education, collaboration, national advocacy and an ongoing drive for positive change within the wellness sector.”
Bobby Griffiths, General Manager of the UKSA, said: “Our updated mission statement clarifies our commitment to elevating and empowering the UK spa community. The Board has been working tirelessly behind the scenes, and 2026 will see the rollout of several significant initiatives that support education, advocacy and industry cohesion. We are looking forward to sharing more with our members over the coming months.”
Key UKSA Workstreams for 2026
The UKSA has highlighted several priority focus areas designed to strengthen pathways into — and progression within — the spa and wellness industry:
- Education & Apprenticeships: Amplifying awareness of industry career pathways, with a specific focus on boosting understanding and uptake of Apprenticeship programmes.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Sharing best practice and showcasing career-long development opportunities to help address persistent challenges around therapist retention.
- Inclusive Access & Support: Working in partnership with Look Good Feel Better, the UKSA’s exclusive charity partner, to enhance industry knowledge around accessibility and cancer awareness, and to promote the charity’s expanding programme of free, confidence-building workshops.
- Expanded Member Benefits: Introducing new tools and resources for both Operators and Suppliers, alongside the continued delivery of national networking events and regional meet-ups.
- Strengthening Industry Communications: Improving the visibility and clarity of UKSA’s work across the sector to help ensure every spa business understands the support available to them.
In another development for 2026, the UKSA has announced the creation of a dedicated UK Spa Association Industry Jobs Board, which will be hosted on the association’s website. Member organisations will receive participation instructions in the coming weeks.
Abi Selby, Chair of the UKSA, said: “We are excited to begin the year with the rollout of our new Industry Jobs Board. This resource will play a crucial role in supporting our members and strengthening the recruitment pipeline that fuels our industry. Initiatives like this are essential as we collectively drive forward growth, innovation and long-term sustainability within the UK spa sector.”
