Backed by UKSA chosen Official Charity partner, Look Good, Feel Better UK and the SATCC, the UKSA Cancer Care Survey 2026 aims to capture the views, experiences, and operational realities of spas, salons, hotels, and treatment providers across the sector. The findings will help build a clearer picture of current practice, identify barriers to delivery, and inform future training, standards, and support for businesses seeking to offer safe, inclusive treatments for clients living with cancer.
With one in two people in the UK expected to develop cancer in their lifetime, the need for spa therapies and treatments has never been more critical. These therapies are key not just in easing some of the many side effects from cancer treatment but also for lifting the mood and spirits of individuals and giving them some sense of normality and self-care at a time when they can feel isolated, scared and uncertain.
The survey explores key areas including:
• Current treatment provision and guest demand
• Therapist training and confidence levels
• Operational adaptations across the guest journey
• Leadership and organisational support
• Barriers to implementation and investment needs
• Future expectations for industry standards
UKSA General Manager, Bobby Griffiths, said “This survey is an important opportunity for the spa industry to have its voice heard. By sharing honest insight into current practices, challenges, and future ambitions, businesses can help shape a safer, more inclusive and professionally supported environment for people living with cancer.”
Spa Operators and therapists across the UK in both spas, salons and lone operators are being asked to complete the survey and share it with colleagues and industry networks to gain maximum participation. Every response will contribute to a stronger evidence base for improving care pathways, professional development, and service accessibility across the sector.
The survey will run until Midnight on Sunday 26th April. With a full report of results published in Mid-May. To complete the survey click here.
