Gisborough Hall has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Sakura Spa following an exclusive launch event held on Wednesday 29th July, marking a significant new chapter for the luxury country house hotel's wellness offering.

Journalists, influencers and invited guests gathered at the North Yorkshire hotel for an exclusive first tour at the new nature-inspired spa, enjoying guided tours, treatment and sound bath experiences, a celebratory speech from Lord Gisborough and a preview of the spa's new dining concept, Koyo Restaurant.

Designed as a peaceful sanctuary inspired by the beauty of the natural world, Sakura Spa (Sakura means cherry blossom in Japanese and is a symbol for new beginnings), combines contemporary wellness facilities with tranquil woodland surroundings, creating a destination where guests can relax, restore and reconnect.

The opening represents a major investment for Gisborough Hall, further cementing its position as one of North Yorkshire's leading destinations for luxury hospitality, wellness and countryside escapes.

Opening this weekend, guests can now enjoy an extensive range of thermal experiences within the spa garden, including an outdoor vitality pool overlooking woodland views, a Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, salt steam room and invigorating cold plunge experience, alongside dedicated relaxation areas designed to encourage mindful wellbeing.

The treatment offering features six luxurious treatment rooms, including a couples' suite and a dedicated Sakura Head Spa, with a carefully curated menu of holistic therapies focused on relaxation and restoration.
Complementing the spa experience is Koyo Restaurant, named after the Japanese word for "autumn leaves". Inspired by the Japanese tradition of appreciating the changing seasons, Koyo celebrates renewal, balance and connection with nature through a menu of fresh seasonal salads, nourishing brunch dishes, wholesome light meals, revitalising juices and wellness drinks.

Speaking about the opening, Vicki Jackson, Spa Director said: "The opening of Sakura Spa is a landmark moment for Gisborough Hall and one we are incredibly proud to celebrate. We've created a truly unique wellness destination that embraces the calming beauty of the surrounding countryside while offering exceptional spa experiences, luxurious treatments and nourishing dining. It was wonderful to welcome guests to our launch event and share the vision behind Sakura Spa, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to experience it for themselves."

Sakura Spa is now open to both hotel residents and day guests, with a selection of spa experiences available, including the Sakura Spa Day from £185, Woodland Escape Spa Day from £140, Simply Spa from £60, Sunrise Retreat from £110 and Twilight Retreat from £125.
