A new wellness label, Saade, is reimagining what we wear in the sauna. Launching in September with its first sauna-specific swimsuit collection, Saade designs plant-based products not just for the water but to perform in heat, cold plunges, and moments of rest.
Born from founder Victoria Arnhold’s Estonian and German heritage, Saade fuses the rich Nordic sauna tradition with a minimalist, sustainable design ethos. The result is a swimwear collection tailored specifically for sauna culture: soft, breathable, quick-drying, and gentle on heat-flushed skin.
Unlike synthetic swimwear, it remains breathable and naturally antibacterial even at elevated temperatures, solving the common problem of discomfort and trapped moisture that makes traditional fabrics feel unhygienic in heat.
Made in Portugal from a predominantly plant-based blend of lyocell and a small percentage of recycled elastane, the Saade sauna swimsuit is designed to support every stage of the sauna experience without clinging, overheating, or restricting the skin.
“Sauna has always been part of my life,” says Victoria. “I grew up in a family where weekly sauna visits were sacred. Even my 86-year-old grandmother still goes. Saade was born from that culture but designed for the modern wellness world.”
The first swimsuit drop is accompanied by a capsule of sauna wear, including ultra-soft sweatpants and sweaters for after heat and sauna headscarves made from 100% Italian lyocell designed to be worn during the sauna itself, all crafted for comfort and breathability.
Saade is created to complement every phase of the sauna ritual: from heat to cold to rest with pieces that are comfortable, respectful of tradition and responsibly made in Europe.
