Riverhills Health Club & Day Spa in Ipswich, Suffolk, announces redevelopment plans for its new luxury day spa.
The development for an extensive and highly anticipated relaunch of this luxury day spa is set for early 2025. This relaunch comes following a devastating fire in June 2023 that severely damaged the swimming pool area and wet facilities. The newly rebuilt spa will set a new standard for luxury and wellness in Suffolk, offering members and guests a revitalised and serene environment to embark on a journey of self-care and renewal.
Under the leadership of owner Dave Courteen, Riverhills was acquired by Mosaic Spa & Health Clubs in 2021 and has since undergone a significant transformation from its previous promotion-led model to a premier health and wellness destination. The recent redevelopment is the latest step in Mosaic’s vision to elevate the standards and experience for Riverhills’ discerning clientele.

Riverhills new luxury spa will stand apart by offering a deeply personal experience for its guests from the moment of their arrival to the time they leave. The spa experience itself will have guests booking "time" rather than specific treatments and the experience is further enhanced by features like the Snow Shower and Halotherapy, which will add a unique touch to the wellness offering in the area.
The new state-of-the-art spa will feature:
- Modern Swimming Pool and Wet Area: A luxurious swimming pool complemented by a vitality pool, jacuzzi, heated loungers, a stone bath sauna, herbal sauna, steam room, snow sky shower and foot spas. There will also be a HaloIR™, the first sauna to offer a synergistic combination of far Infrared Saunas and Halotherapy. Suppliers include Spa Vision, DaleSauna, Newson Pools and Techno-Alpin.
- Expanded Fitness Facilities: The new development will include two studios for fitness classes; a dedicated Spin Studio and a HIIT style studio; alongside the club’s existing gym with the latest Technogym equipment, a yoga and Pilates studio
- Enhanced Treatment Rooms: The spa will now boast nine spacious treatment rooms, including a mud serail room and a dedicated manicure and pedicure room, allowing guests to indulge in a wider variety of treatments and therapies.
