One Spa at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh has opened a dedicated reformer Pilates studio, marking a significant investment in its fitness and wellbeing offering and reflecting the continued growth of strength and mobility-focused exercise.
The new Reformer at One Spa studio features six Technogym reformer beds, with a timetable of morning, afternoon and evening classes designed to accommodate a range of experience levels. Programmes include Beginner Foundations, Signature Flow and Dynamic Reformer, offering progressive sessions centred on strength, posture, balance and mobility.
The addition expands One Spa's existing wellness facilities, complementing its spa experiences, Technogym-equipped fitness suite and Escape at One thermal journey. The studio is open to both members and non-members, with preferential rates available for members and hotel guests.
Developed over several months, the project included the design of a purpose-built studio alongside the creation of a new class concept tailored specifically for the venue.
Fiona Young, Spa Director at One Spa, said: "We've seen a clear increase in demand for movement practices that prioritise strength, mobility and long-term wellbeing, and reformer Pilates has become an important part of that conversation.
"Our aim was to create a dedicated space that reflects the quality of the wider One Spa experience while making reformer Pilates accessible to a broad range of people, whether they're completely new to the discipline or looking to build on an existing practice.
"Being located in the city centre also means people can incorporate classes into their working day or combine them with time in the spa, offering a more holistic approach to wellbeing."
Classes are led by instructor Ninette alongside a team of Edinburgh-based Pilates professionals, several of whom have taught mat Pilates at One Spa for a number of years.
Single classes are priced from £20, with five-class bundles available from £95.
One Spa has been recognised as Best Spa in Scotland by the Good Spa Guide for the past two years and holds Five Bubble Luxury status.
