Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) has unveiled its eagerly awaited Spa at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in London.
Situated in the renowned Hanover Square, this urban wellness haven is described as a "discreet, sleek, and intimate" companion to the flagship spa at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.
The spa’s interiors, crafted by the Tokyo-based design firm Curiosity, are described as a fusion of nature and art.
Ambient lighting, reminiscent of water droplets and candles, creates a calming atmosphere and the design employs an earthy palette featuring wood, stone, green Ming marble, and warm bronze.
Spanning 795 square meters, the spa is managed by assistant director Michelle Matthews. She heads a small team of therapists committed to providing expert and personalized care.
Amenities include a 25-meter indoor swimming pool – the longest of any hotel in Mayfair – along with three individual vitality pools.
Additional features include a sauna, experience showers, steam rooms, and a relaxation room.
The subterranean spa, accessible to hotel guests, residents, and the local community, offers a unique selection of bespoke wellness treatments.
These treatments range from the naturally pure and scientifically validated Seed to Skin Tuscany line to the advanced anti-ageing solutions from Swiss Perfection.
Furthermore, the spa provides Clinique La Prairie and Mandarin Oriental Signature treatments, which incorporate expertly blended aromatherapy scents aligned with the five Chinese elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.
