In celebration of World Yoga Day on June 21st, the Lake District’s Armathwaite Hall Hotel was proud to host its first two-night Yoga Retreat in collaboration with expert Yogi, Jodi Hollie, which took place 20th – 22nd June 2024. The retreat was met with overwhelming praise from participants, who applauded the gorgeous location, outstanding staff, and transformative program.
Due to the success of the retreat, Armathwaite Hall is pleased to announce that it will be holding another yoga retreat set for Thursday 3rd October – Friday 5th October 2024.
Nestled amidst the majestic fells and mountains of the northern Lake District, Armathwaite Hall provided an idyllic setting for the yoga retreat. Blessed with minimal light and noise pollution, it offered a serene sanctuary where guests unwound surrounded by nature. The two-night retreat programme, crafted by yogi Jodi Hollie, in collaboration with Lucy Dunn, Armathwaite Hall’s wellness expert, offered guests a chance to disconnect and relax on a serene and empowering journey, free from the distractions of modern life.
At the retreat, participants immersed themselves in a variety of calming experiences, including group meditation, evening and sunrise yoga sessions, group dinners, and full-moon nighttime yoga session. The retreat also included a guided ‘silent walk’ through the grounds and a soothing spa treatment. With free time to explore the hotel's scenic grounds and its award-winning spa, the retreat became an oasis for those seeking tranquillity and a deeper connection with nature.
“From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of calm,” shared one attendee. “The staff were so welcoming, the facilities stunning, and the yoga instruction truly wonderful.”
Jodi Hollie says, "I'm absolutely thrilled with how the retreat went! The participants were so open and receptive, and the setting here at Armathwaite Hall was simply magical. We were able to take full advantage of the beautiful grounds, from the early morning sunrise sessions by the lake to the full moon meditation under the stars. The staff's flexibility truly made it a collaborative experience, allowing us to adapt the program based on everyone's needs. It's incredibly rewarding to see how much peace and rejuvenation everyone found here. They arrived feeling stressed, but by the end, they were like a whole new group – relaxed, happy, and even planning their return trip! I can't wait to welcome them all back again."
