ishga has partnered with Trafalgar River Cruises to introduce its spa offering aboard two of the operator’s European river cruise ships, Trafalgar Reverie and Trafalgar Verity.
The collaboration will bring ishga’s Hebridean-inspired treatments and wellbeing rituals to itineraries travelling through Germany, France, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, including routes featuring some of Europe’s Christmas markets.
The partnership combines Trafalgar’s focus on local experiences and hosted travel with ishga’s spa approach, which centres on organic, hand-harvested Hebridean seaweed and natural ingredients.
A key element of the onboard offering is ishga’s Come Snore with Us® concept, a sleep-focused treatment journey designed to encourage relaxation and restorative rest. The ritual combines calming techniques and therapeutic treatments intended to help guests unwind following a day of sightseeing and settle into the evening.
The wider treatment menu includes Slumber Flow, Deep Dream Release, Dream Stone and Bamboo Zen Dawn, alongside facial, scalp, foot and body treatments.
Guests will also have access to hydrating facials, marine body wraps and salt scrubs, as well as a selection of targeted 30-minute massages for those looking for shorter treatments during their cruise. A separate collection of massages has also been developed for teenage and younger guests.
The sleep focus of the offering reflects a broader interest in restorative wellbeing within travel, particularly for guests balancing busy itineraries with the need for downtime.
Milenko Velemir, Fleet Spa & Wellbeing Operations Manager at GRC Global River Cruises GmbH, said the partnership was intended to bring together sightseeing, relaxation and wellbeing as part of the river cruise experience.
For ishga, the collaboration also provides an opportunity to extend the Scottish brand’s presence into European travel and hospitality markets.
Leon Trayling, co-founder of ishga, highlighted the development of the Come Snore with Us® ritual as a particular focus of the partnership, pointing to sleep as an increasingly important consideration within the wider wellness landscape.
The ishga treatments will form part of the onboard spa experience aboard Trafalgar Reverie and Trafalgar Verity as they travel across a range of European river itineraries.
