iS Clinical has introduced Daily Active Smoothing Toner, a daily-use exfoliating toner formulated to resurface, hydrate and balance the skin.
The formula combines alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) with a selection of hydrating and skin-soothing ingredients. It is designed to remove surface buildup while maintaining the skin’s moisture balance and can also be used as part of a sequential skincare routine.
Salicylic acid provides the BHA element of the formulation, helping to address buildup within the pores and the appearance of blackheads and congestion. Mandelic acid, a comparatively gentle AHA, works on the skin’s surface to help refine uneven texture and improve the appearance of post-inflammatory marks.
The toner also contains a PHA complex of gluconolactone and lactobionic acid. These larger-molecule acids are used to provide exfoliation alongside hydrating and antioxidant properties.
Supporting the exfoliating ingredients are sodium hyaluronate and aloe vera, which provide lightweight hydration, while panthenol and allantoin are included for their soothing and skin-comforting properties.
Witch hazel and a blend of fruit extracts complete the formula, with the combination intended to help reduce the appearance of excess surface oil and pores while leaving the complexion looking smoother and more balanced.
The launch reflects the continued development of multi-functional exfoliating products that combine resurfacing ingredients with barrier-supportive and hydrating components, allowing exfoliation to be incorporated into regular skincare routines without focusing solely on resurfacing.
