Heckfield Place Launches Exclusive Day Workshops

Heckfield Place Launches Exclusive Day Workshops

The Bothy by Wildsmith at Heckfield Place has revealed a series of new retreat-style, day-long workshops which address a series of wellbeing topics including longevity, immunity and brain health.

This is the first time that the Bothy will open its doors to non-hotel guests, enabling day visitors to experience the healing spaces for the first time. Until now, the Bothy has been reserved for resident guests and Friends of Heckfield members only.

New for summer 2024, the retreat experiences invite guests to discover a deeper understanding of the wellbeing philosophy and the serene spaces of the Bothy itself.

Running throughout June, July and August, each date in the series will address a different wellbeing focus.

Guests will be guided by the safe and caring hands of The Bothy’s new Master Practitioner and ‘medicine woman’, Jennifer Harper-Deacon. She will oversee the retreats alongside wellbeing eco-psychologist, Amy Steadman.

"Our aim is to share a deeper understanding of our wellbeing philosophy and encourage guests to come back and experience our longer bespoke paths and reconnect programme. The workshops involves time with our resident eco psychiatrist and our world-renowned naturopath, as well as a chance to experience our Sauna Medicine and share in the company of our Bothy family." Katherine Pye, General Manager at Wildsmith

The June workshop focussed on quantum nutrition, energy and concentration will address the significance of monitoring our blood sugar levels, the impact of food on brain health and how to enhance ‘life force’ and energy levels with food.

In July, Harper-Deacon and her team will focus on detoxification, microbiome and immunity. The retreat will teach safe and effective detoxification regimes and debunk common myths about fasting.

Lastly, in August, ageing gracefully, longevity and hormone health will focus on the art of ageing gracefully and how to enhance hormone health and longevity.

Each workshop begins with a morning Nature Therapy session through the expansive grounds and woodlands of Heckfield Place. Here guests will enjoy guided mindful experience to help them reconnect with nature.

Lunch will be fuelled with biodynamic produce from the Market Garden and organic Home Farm.

After lunch, guests will experience Sauna Medicine, the Bothy’s Waters and hydrotherapies. Open to a maximum of eight guests, A Path to the Bothy by Wildsmith starts from £550 per person.
