Developed after more than 20+ years of clinical research and testing, Dr Vanita Rattan has treated over 40,000 cases of hyperpigmentation globally, achieving a 95% success rate with over 3.5m followers globally. The Glow Facial Treatment translates this expertise into a professional, results-driven in-clinic facial designed specifically for melanin-rich skin.
Unlike conventional facials that rely on aggressive exfoliation, ablative lasers, steam, extractions or strong peels, all of which can trigger post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, the Glow Facial Treatment uses melanin-safe, low-irritation techniques that work from the dermis to the skin’s surface.
The 50-minute treatment combines 12 exclusive formulations developed by Dr Vanita Rattan, including three professional-only products, The Glow Peel, The Glow Serum and The Glow Sheet and Jowl Mask. These are paired with advanced techniques such as gentle microneedling, mild chemical exfoliation, radiofrequency and lymphatic cupping. All formulations are NAFE SAFE, meaning no denatured alcohol, fragrance or essential oils, and are pH-neutral to minimise irritation risk in skin of colour.
“Skin of colour behaves very differently to Caucasian skin at a biological level. Melanocytes are larger and more reactive, meaning even low levels of inflammation, heat or trauma can trigger excess melanin production and lead to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.” says Dr. Vanita Rattan
Practitioners must complete a comprehensive online training course led by Dr Vanita Rattan to gain a detailed understanding of skin of colour biology, contraindications and appropriate aftercare for melanin-rich skin. Following this, a Dr Vanita Rattan representative attends the clinic to support treatment setup, after which practitioners are officially certified as Dr Vanita Rattan Glow Facial Practitioners.
