ChitoCare Beauty has launched INNSÆI, a new professional spa collection inspired by Icelandic nature and developed for luxury spas, hotels and wellness destinations.
Created by Icelandic marine biotechnology company Primex, which has more than 25 years' expertise in marine chitosan production, the collection is the first from ChitoCare Beauty to feature the company's patented marine chitosan technology across its entire product range.
Named after the Icelandic word innsæi, meaning intuition or "inner knowing", the collection combines science-led skincare with a sensory approach to spa and hospitality experiences.
The range includes haircare, body care, facial products and home fragrance, with each formulation incorporating a blend of marine chitosan, marine collagen and Icelandic geothermal silica. ChitoCare's proprietary Repair technology has been developed to support skin hydration, barrier function and overall skin and hair wellbeing.
Marine chitosan, the collection's hero ingredient, is derived from upcycled Nordic shrimp shells sourced from Icelandic waters and manufactured using renewable geothermal energy. According to the company, the naturally derived bioactive ingredient forms a lightweight, breathable protective layer that helps retain moisture while supporting the skin's natural repair processes.
Developed for both professional and guest use, the collection is presented in refillable aluminium packaging and is available in formats suitable for treatment rooms, spa retail and hotel guest amenities.
The launch reflects continued demand within the spa and hospitality sectors for products that combine efficacy, sustainability and a distinctive sense of place, while offering operators a cohesive wellness experience across treatments, retail and in-room amenities.
