Champneys, the UK’s leading spa and wellness brand, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Lawson as Group General Manager. With over a decade of senior leadership experience across the hospitality, spa, and wellness industry, Adam brings a wealth of expertise in luxury operations, guest experience, and strategic business development to his new role.
Adam’s journey with Champneys began as General Manager of the brand’s flagship Tring resort, before progressing to Regional General Manager overseeing both Tring and Henlow Grange, two of the brand’s most iconic properties. In these roles, he was instrumental in aligning operations across multidisciplinary teams, elevating service standards, and implementing successful team development initiatives that fostered a culture of excellence and accountability.
Prior to joining Champneys, Adam held key leadership positions within prestigious hospitality groups. As Hotel Manager at Donnington Valley Hotel & Spa within The Vineyard Group, he led all aspects of operations, achieving commercial growth and spearheading quality improvement projects. He also successfully oversaw the pre-opening and launch of the Harbour Beach Club in Salcombe, where he developed operational frameworks and built high-performing teams from the ground up. Adam’s career foundation was shaped during five formative years at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa, where he advanced through leadership roles in food & beverage and events, honing his passion for luxury service and people-first leadership.
In his new role as Group General Manager at Champneys, Adam will lead operations across all resorts, hotels, and city spas, ensuring brand consistency and operational excellence while steering the organisation through a pivotal period of transformation and international growth. His immediate priorities include strengthening Champneys’ service culture, enhancing wellness programming, and supporting team development across the business.
