The facialist behind some of the world’s most famous faces has chosen Scotland for her next chapter, as internationally renowned beauty expert Nichola Joss announces an exclusive winter residency at Spa at The Edinburgh Grand, bringing her sought-after treatments and signature techniques to the capital.
From November 2026 to February 2027, Nichola will be in residence at the luxury St Andrew Square spa for just one week each month, giving guests in Scotland rare access to her signature Bespoke Buccal Inner Facial™ - the specialist sculpting treatment that has helped make her one of the most sought-after facialists in the beauty industry.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Nichola has become a trusted name among Hollywood stars, supermodels and leading figures in fashion. Her A-list clientele has included Kate Moss, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lopez, Gisele Bündchen, Colin Firth, Elle Macpherson and Rita Ora, while her work has taken her backstage at the Oscars, BAFTAs and international fashion weeks.
Currently based in Kent, Nichola has held residencies and appointments across London, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Italy and Bahrain. Now, as Scotland continues to build its reputation as a destination for luxury wellness and world-class hospitality, the Aberdeenshire-born facialist has chosen to bring the techniques that have built her international reputation back home, selecting Edinburgh for her latest exclusive residency.
Her arrival marks a major new collaboration for Spa at The Edinburgh Grand, further establishing the recently opened spa as a destination for specialist skincare, expert-led treatments and internationally recognised wellness talent in the heart of the Scottish capital.
Unlike a traditional hotel spa, Spa at The Edinburgh Grand is a luxury, treatment-led retreat dedicated to advanced facials and restorative body rituals. Its partnership with professional skincare brand Skeyndor combines advanced, science-led skincare with highly personalised therapist expertise and a focus on visible results.
The entirely hands-on treatment works to release muscular tension, stimulate circulation and sculpt and define the facial contours, leaving skin looking refreshed, lifted and glowing. Each treatment is individually tailored according to the client’s skin, facial structure and muscular needs.
Speaking of her new residency, Nichola Joss, said: “Scotland is home, so choosing to bring my work back here after so many years working internationally feels incredibly special. I’ve been fortunate to treat clients all over the world throughout my career, but there’s something very exciting about now being able to offer my signature treatment regularly in Edinburgh.
“My approach has always been about looking at the individual - their skin, facial structure and where they hold tension - and using hands-on techniques to create visible results. Spa at The Edinburgh Grand shares that focus on expertise, personalisation and results, so it feels like a very natural home for my Scottish residency. I can’t wait to welcome clients here.”
Catriona Ross, Head of Spa & Wellness at The Edinburgh Grand, said: “Since opening our doors earlier this year, we’re fast becoming one of Scotland’s leading destinations for exceptional treatments and specialist expertise, so welcoming Nichola for this exclusive residency is a hugely exciting next step for us.
“Nichola has worked with some of the biggest names in the world and pioneered techniques that have influenced the beauty industry internationally. To now bring that expertise to Spa at The Edinburgh Grand gives our guests access to something genuinely special here in Edinburgh, while perfectly complementing our existing focus on advanced skincare, highly personalised treatments and visible results.”
