The Global Wellness Institute (GWI), the leading nonprofit dedicated to research and education in the global wellness industry, has released new data on Canada’s robust wellness economy. Growing at 7.3% from 2019 to 2023, Canada is among the top ten fastest-growing wellness economies in the world. At $143.8 billion, its 2023 size exceeded its pre-pandemic level in 2019 by 33%.
The 2025 report is available on GWI’s Geography of Wellness platform thanks to a continued partnership with Blueprint Global, an international leader in luxury real estate envisioning, master planning, marketing, sales and hospitality execution.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Blueprint Global to showcase Canada’s unique wellness landscape,” said Susie Ellis, GWI’s chair & CEO. “With its focus on wellness for many of its luxury residential projects, Blueprint Global is an ideal partner to help make this important data available, providing a comprehensive understanding of how wellness businesses and activities contribute to the Canadian economy.”
“The Global Wellness Institute’s Geography of Wellness program serves to educate the Canadian market as to the crucial importance of the wellness economy to Canada and how competitive we are worldwide,” said Robin Conners, CEO of Westwood 360 International Inc., Blueprint Global’s parent company. “The Canadian wellness ecosystem is growing rapidly and is incredibly diverse; from tech to traditional, Canadians value wellness-based innovation, and the data provided in the Geography of Wellness report helps us all better understand Canada’s unique wellness landscape.”
Jean-Pierre Miramont, CEO of Blueprint Global, remarked: “Our sponsorship of the Geography of Wellness report is a strategic opportunity. This data not only serves to open doors for us when we approach Canadian luxury real estate developers, but the education it provides also elevates all Canadians’ sensitivity to the important need to reduce the gap between lifespan and healthspan.”
