Newmarket’s Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa has announced the start of an exciting new phase of reinvestment in some of its facilities and guest experiences, beginning with a series of light refurbishments in August 2025 and a major digital transformation, set for launch in January  2026.

The first stage of the programme has already seen a light refurbishment of the hotel’s Roxana Bar, with new carpets and curtains installed to refresh and modernise the space, as well as an upgrade to both the guest lifts. Work is also underway on updating 25 of the hotel’s bathrooms, ensuring guests continue to enjoy the highest standards of comfort and luxury, whilst also maintaining the hotel’s sustainability promises.

Alongside physical improvements to the property, Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa is also investing £60,000 in the creation of a brand-new website, due to launch in January 2026, ahead of the busy new year. The redesigned site will bring together the hotel and spa’s digital presence for the first time, creating a seamless and user-friendly platform for guests to explore, book, and engage with the property’s services.

The new website is designed with a mobile-first approach, reflecting changing consumer behaviours. It will enhance online visibility, boost direct bookings, and allow cross-selling of services while providing an immersive showcase of the hotel and spa’s luxury offering.

The investment in refurbishment and digital infrastructure comes as part of Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa’s wider commitment to sustainable growth and excellence. The property, which holds a Green Tourism Gold Award, continues to champion sustainability initiatives, from biodiversity projects on-site to the introduction of ceramic toiletries in bedrooms to further cut single-use plastics.
