BC SoftWear, UK provider of luxury towels, robes and spa linens, has added a sustainable slipper to its selection.
The Luxury Bio Slipper features a Npulp straw sole, which is both compostable and recyclable, while still offering the same high-end, luxurious softness found in traditional coir-soled spa slippers.
Npulp is produced through an innovative process that uses an enzyme to break down straw into pulp, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals and significantly reducing water and energy consumption. The only components used are straw, water, and the digestion enzyme. Additionally, Npulp holds an OK Compost Certificate from the raw material supplier, verifying that the material is biodegradable and that the manufacturing process is chemical-free, low-energy, and environmentally friendly.
The Npulp compressed straw soles provide significantly improved anti-slip protection and, importantly for spas seeking footwear suitable for wet areas, are water-resistant—a rare feature for spa slippers.
