Refurbished spa reopens at London’s Landmark Hotel

The Landmark London’s Spa and Health Club has reopened this month, following a two- month refurbishment

The extensive redevelopment programme focused on refreshing and updating the Spa reception, treatment rooms and changing areas to offer guests a truly relaxing and memorable experience.

The new Spa and Health Club has four treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, one of London's few chlorine-free, 15-metre indoor swimming pools, as well as steam rooms and a sanarium.

Treatments are provided by skincare house Germaine de Capuccini, which offers exclusive signature treatments include Efficy, the latest multi-functional technological innovation from the brand. Efficy combines three unique technologies and can be used in a wide range of facial and body treatments. Tailored to each client, the Efficy machine provides specialised therapies including facial revitalisation, facial dermo-toning, eye contouring and skin firming.

The redesign, envisaged by SMC Design, encompasses dark copper and elegant porcelain stone tiles and uses a relaxing, warm and tranquil colour palette.

Adolf Schauer, manager at the five-star Landmark, says: ‘Our aim when reopening the Spa and Health Club was to ensure each and every guest experiences a luxurious journey in keeping with the hotel’s relaxing environment. By partnering with a unique line of skincare products from Germaine de Capuccini we are providing the best therapies from around the globe, all to be enjoyed in the serene surroundings of the new spa.’

Andy Yuill, managing director of SMC Design, says: ‘It has been very interesting to be involved in the refit of such an important interior, in one of London's most iconic hotels. The new open plan reception improves the initial impact and, combined with the many other design improvements, creates a truly enhanced guest experience.’
