Yoga for Altzheimer’s at SenSpa

Yoga for Altzheimer’s at SenSpa

SenSpa at Carey’s Manor will be taking part in this year’s ‘Yoga for Alzheimer’s’ campaign.

On Friday June 21, International Yoga Day, SenSpa will be six special yoga classes, at £10 each. All of the money will go to Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Yoga for Alzheimer’s was founded by Ingrid Stone after her mother was diagnosed with a rare variant of Alzheimer’s disease. Ingrid has practised yoga for many years and wanted to organise a campaign that everybody could be included in to raise money to help defeat Alzheimer’s.

According to Alzheimer’s Society statistics there are currently 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and 225,000 will develop dementia this year. After the success of last year’s event, the initiative has been rolled out nationwide to include most major cities in the UK.

Voted Best Spa in the South-East 2015 by the Good Spa Guide, SenSpa is a luxury Thai spa located at the award-winning Carey’s Manor Hotel.
