Armathwaite Hall nominated for two awards

The Lake District’s renowned Armathwaite Hall hotel has been nominated for a Cumbria Tourism Award and a Luxury Travel Guide Award.

Armathwaite Hall is in the running for Large Hotel of the Year in the Cumbria Tourism Awards. In the Luxury Travel Guide Awards, its hoping to scoop a prize in the Spa and Wellness category.

Last month, the hotel and spa hosted the UK Spa Association’s Spring Networking Event, which included a discussion on Dementia in Spa from Danielle Alen, general manager of The Lifehouse Spa in Essex, covering the specific needs of guests with dementia.

Renowned food and beverage consultant Stu Henshall talked to more than 100 of the UK’s top spa professionals about The Alternative Kitchen, highlighting the role of plant-based menus and discussing the growing demand for vegetarian and vegan options in hotels and spas.

The conference area showcased brands including Gerrard International, Germaine de Capuccini, Scrummi Spa, Temple Spa, Delilah cosmetics, CND/Sweet Squared and Bespoke Armathwaite, Armathwaite Hall’s own brand product.

Carolyn Graves, owner of Armathwaite Hall, says: “We were extremely honoured to be hosting such a prestigious event. To have so many leading spa professionals here was inspiring for all of us, and we were thrilled to be able to show others in the industry our beautiful spa and all the developments we’ve been working on.”
